About Inverasdale

In September 2004, at a meeting of the Highland Council's Transport, Environment and Community Services Committee, it was reported that the 150-year old Inverasdale pier was "now practically disused". An application had been received to purchase the pier from an unnamed person and the Committee agreed to declare the pier surplus to requirements and make it available for disposal.

However, a new slipway and car park at Inverasdale, three miles north of Poolewe on the western shore of Loch Ewe, has now been completed. The money for the project was raised by the Loch Ewe Action Forum. The slip provides access to the water at all states of the tide and is ideal for the launching/recovery of both big and small boats.
