About Skerray

The present harbour was built at a cost of some £4,000 at the end of the nineteenth century. The approach to the harbour is shallow and protected by low reefs.

A boat operating from Skerray pier makes visits to some of the offshore islands. The harbour is also popular with divers, who can travel to nearby offshore islands, such as Island Roan (Eilean nan Roan) by RIB. There are many scenic dives as well as wreck dives close to the harbour, such as the Ashbury.

There is a slipway next to the pier.
