About Nouster (North Ronaldsay)

The New Pier was built in 1970. The former pier can be seen behind the new pier in the photo above. The steamer called here once a week. Years before it was used by local traders using sailing ships such as the Lebanon. Nowadays it is used by local lobster boats and for access to the Holm of Papay.

The ferry from Kirkwall calls here on a regular basis.
