About Old Dornie

At Old Dornie there is a beautiful, sheltered anchorage that is used mostly by the local fishermen but also has a steady stream of private boats. It is reached by turning left between Polbain and Altandhu from the road that rings the peninsula.

The harbour has both a slipway and a jetty, both of which are owned by the Highland Council, and are open to the public. They are used by local fishermen, boat-owners, dive boats, and tourists. The slipway is not useable during lower tides, and cannot be extended as it would block access to the inner harbour.
